Special train services to Thiruvananthapuram

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Southern Railway has increased the frequency of the 635/636 Chennai Central-Thiruvananthapuram-Chennai Central Special from tri-weekly to four days a week in order to clear the heavy rush of passengers during April, May and June.

According to an official spokesman, additional services will be run from Chennai Central on Fridays and from Thiruvananthapuram Central on Saturdays. This will make 20 additional services in all.

Currently, the Special operates from Chennai Central on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays and from Thiruvananthapuram Central on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Additional services from Chennai Central will be on April 8, 15, 22 and 29, May 6, 13, 20 and 27 and June 3 and 10. Those from Thiruvananthapuram Central would be on April 9, 16, 23 and 30, May 7, 14, 21 and 28 and June 4 and 11.
