New India global premium

NEW India Assurance has received Rs 5,000 crore as global premium, the highest for a non-life insurance company.

It has received Rs 4,207 crore in India and Rs 900 crore from 23 countries overseas.

A senior official of the company said that there was a Rs 370-crore difference between New India and its closest competitor. In the current year, the company hoped to retain the renewals, increase its motor insurance portfolio and consolidate its bancassurance tie-ups, he said
