PSL exports up at Rs 726 cr

MUMBAI: PSL Ltd has ended the 2004-05 fiscal with exports of Rs 726 crore as compared to Rs 9.24 crore in the earlier year.

This increase in exports includes turnkey orders bagged by the company from countries including Sudan, Oman, Bangladesh for both private and government projects.

The new mill at Kandla, the tenth of the company has been set up basically to benchmark the company to meet international capacity standards to meet the volume and size of the international orders. With this expansion PSL has a total of 10 pipe mills.

The company attributes its surge in exports to its pan-India presence of pipe mills in Kandla, Chennai, Daman and Vizag. This gives PSL the strength and backbone to undertake mega turnkey projects meeting international standards and timelines, the company said.
