MCF to revamp machinery

MANGALORE: Mangalore Chemicals and Fertilizers Ltd (MCF) is revamping the machinery at the plant at a cost of Rs 65 crore, according to its Senior Vice-President, Mr P.C. Jain.

Quoting Mr Jain, a company release said here on Thursday that since 1996 the company has invested around Rs 150 crore on technological upgradation and reliability improvements. With all these, the company is able to meet the targets set by the Centre.

Mr Jain was addressing a public awareness meeting at Suratkal near Mangalore recently. He also enumerated various steps taken by the company to make the plant operations environment friendly and safe.
