SILICON Valley technocrat and Chairman of Ample Communications, Mr Visveswar "Vish" Akella, has launched a new business with an initial investment of Rs 10 crore to market health and wellness and personal care products in India through the multi-level marketing channels.

Clearcok Enterprises Pvt Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Clearock Inc US, plans to invest $25 million for setting up production facility and marketing of its products.

Addressing a press conference, Mr Akella and Mr Bala Bhagavat, CEO of Clearock Enterprises, said with a huge potential for the products based on natural herbal and other materials for wellness and personal care, the company hoped to garner a sizeable share in the Rs 36,000-crore market.

Clearock would initially import the product and market them in sachets, which would be followed by contract manufacturing to meet the future demand, said Mr Bhagavat.

Initially, Clearock would be marketing health-enhancing products Flex-Izy and Flex-Izy HP, used for strengthening joint muscles, by August.

The company would adopt the multi-level marketing mode to popularise its products.
