TRADE unions should play a leading role in the development of the banks, Mr C.H. Venkatachalam, General Secretary of the All India Bank Employees' Association, said.

He was speaking at a function to inaugurate the new building of Karnataka Bank Employees' Association (KBEA) in Mangalore on Saturday.
