Maditssia's plea to CM

Our Correspondent

MADURAI: The Madurai District Tiny And Small Scale Industries Association (Maditssia), while paying complements to the Chief Minister, Ms J. Jayalalithaa, for clinching a deal with Nokia for the establishment of a project in the IT-enabled services, has appealed to her to enable Madurai become the second tier city for investment in IT and ITES segment.

In a statement, Maditssia President, Mr S.Aravind, said that Madurai has the infrastructure along with a cluster of renowned technical institutions, hotel accommodation, broadband connectivity and tourism. The region `is a right place ready to host any investment in the two sectors'. It should be taken into the investment map of Tamil Nadu in IT and ITES sector to start with and other industries also to follow suit, he added.
