Events 10 Indian cos to take part in MetalAsia Our Bureau
Bangalore , April 11 MTA2005-MetalAsia will bring over 1,200 companies from 40 countries/regions to the Singapore Expo from May 10-14. The event will also host official groups from Germany, Singapore, Korea, India, Japan, Spain, the UK and Thailand looking to reach the Asian market with their products and services. An established metalworking and precision engineering exhibition featuring the industry's top players and an extensive range of manufacturing technologies and equipment, it will serve as a platform for the country's fast growing manufacturing sector to further increase turnover, improve profits and boost export growth. The meet will also provide Indian machine tool manufacturers with a significant launch pad to promote their products and increase their presence beyond the national frontier. The machine tool industry is expected to achieve the highest-ever production turnover of Rs 1,000 crore in 2004-2005. Marks Technosystems, Milhard Sales, Plazma Cutting Equipment, and SRB Machines are among the ten companies from India participating at MTA2005-MetalAsia. Mr William Lim, spokesperson for the organiser Singapore Exhibition Services, said, "While Indian technology is on the rise, many manufacturers in end-user industries in this region do not have ready access to the wide range of quality products that the Indian machine tool and metalworking industries offer. The exhibition will serve to enhance the profile of "Made-In-India" technologies and services and bring them into direct contact with our buyers. We would therefore like to encourage more Indian manufacturers to use MTA2005-MetalAsia as a platform to promote their products."
