Seminar on tax awareness

MANGALORE: The Kanara Builders' Association conducted a seminar to create awareness on service tax and value-added tax in Mangalore recently.

A press release by the association said here on Monday that the Assistant Commissioner of Service Tax, Mr S. Rajagopal, spoke about service tax provisions applicable to residential and commercial complexes. Mr D.B. Mehta of Kanara Builders' Association, who presided over the meeting urged contractors and developers to comply with the rules and regulations of service tax and value-added tax.
