Thatavarthi to raise $1 m

Our Bureau

HYDERABAD: Thatavarthi Technologies, a Hyderabad-based start-up engaged in software testing services, has drawn up plans to expand operations and is in the process of raising about $1 million to fuel its overseas centres.

The Chief Executive Officer of Thatavarthi, Mr T.V. Radhakrishna, said that most technology companies are eying overseas markets for software testing services based on the proven outsourcing and offshore model.

"But as a start-up, we adopted a model that is different by targeting Indian companies. The focus is on banking, financial services and utilities."

"We are also in parleys with venture capitalists and expect to close about $1 million in funding by the middle of this year. This would enable us to expand operations to overseas centres, and also tap the outsourcing market for quality testing, which is estimated at about $13 billion globally," he said.
