Hyderabad , April 13

iSoft R&D, the Indian subsidiary of the Manchester-based iSoft Group plc, has announced its second development centre in India at Hyderabad which is expected to also serve as business continuity and disaster recovery centre.

Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, the Chief Executive Officer of iSoft India, Mr Ravan Boddu, said this was part of expansion plans, which would see the induction of about 200 people. It is part of the company announcement made last year for proposed investment of $100 million in Indian operations over a three-year time frame.

iSoft, listed on the London Stock Exchange, accounted for about $ 281 million in revenues last fiscal. Of the total 2,800 people working for the company across various locations, the Chennai centre hosts about 1,000 people.
