Soukya to start 3 centres abroad

Our Bureau

Bangalore , April 14

THE holistic healthcare model of the Whitefield-based Soukya is to be replicated in at least three locations abroad.

The first one will come up on the outskirts of St. Petersburg for which the Russian promoter, Petroconsult, recently signed up Soukya as medical consultant for its $5-million facility. Petroconsult, which is into hospitality and infrastructure development, has collaborations across Europe, according to a Soukya release.

The new facility, Soukya St. Petersburg, will be operational by December 2006. Similar holistic care facilities carrying the Soukya brand are planned in Saudi Arabia and the Caribbean islands.

The Bangalore centre will provide medical consultancy facility design for the therapy centre, staff, medicine and medical expertise. The health centre will offer Indian and Asian treatment protocols including ayurveda, homeopathy and Siddha and provide customised treatments for detoxification, weight management, stress management, rejuvenation and a range of medical conditions.

According to Dr Isaac Mathai, founder and Medical Director of Soukya, "The concept of Soukya is based on prevention of disease and promotion of health. Its model is becoming increasingly popular in the world."
