Andhra Bank biz tops Rs 45,000 cr

Mumbai , April 14

THE total business of Andhra Bank crossed Rs 45,000 crore. Mr R. Balakrishnan, Executive Director of the bank announced this at the inauguration of the new zonal office, which has shifted from Cuffe Parade to Andheri.

Mr Balakrishnan said that the bank is concentrating on new technologies and has achieved 100 per cent computerisation.

The bank has launched new insurance products such as AB Arogyadaan, AB Jeevan Abhaya, AB Jeevan Prakash and AB Jeevan Prakash+, which offer insurance coverage at minimal rates, a bank press release added.

The total business of the Mumbai Zone has crossed Rs 6,200 crore, said Mumbai Zonal Manager, Mr I.R.S. Trivedi. The Mumbai Zone, which covers Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Goa, has 53 branches and eight extension counters.
