E-Governance NIC develops service, payroll repository Our Bureau
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State unit of the National Informatics Centre has developed a service and payroll administrative repository for the Government Secretariat here. The system has been implemented in the Finance Department while data entry in respect of the General Administration Department was under way. The Web-enabled system will subsequently be extended to Government offices outside the Secretariat and linked to the Accountant General's office and treasuries. The NIC unit has also developed a programme for automation of several functions of the Regional Transport Offices.
