Mumbai , April 15

LYKA Labs Ltd has launched Bioxtra toothpaste and gel, as part of the company's tie-up with Belgium's BioXHealthcare.

The company has given marketing rights to its joint venture company Lyka Hetero Healthcare Ltd to market these products in India, Lyka told BSE.

BioXHealthcare is a part of Biopole s.a., a molecular biotechnology company.

Bioxtra toothpaste and gel are biotech products and the main ingredients are derived from milk fraction proteins. The products are useful for patients suffering from after effects of cancer, chemotherapy/radiation therapy, diabetes, tobacco chewers and others suffering from dry mouth conditions (Zerostomia). These products are also useful for patients suffering from gingivitis, caries and bad breath, the company said.
