Sify slashes call rates to US

CHENNAI: Sify Ltd has said that it has slashed its calling rates to the US to Rs 2.99 a minute from Rs 4. The reduced rates also apply to calls made to the UK and Canada.

For calls made to rest of Europe, Hong Kong and Singapore, Sify will now charge Rs 4.55. Calls to Japan, China, South Korea, Indonesia, New Zealand, Australia and Saudi Arabia will cost Rs 6.35 a minute while those to Iran and Kuwait will cost Rs 8.12.

Sify offers these facilities using Internet telephony, at its i-Way Internet outlets.
