Letters Trade and peace
This refers to the editorial "The business of peace" (Business Line, April 19), which talks of the decision to set up a joint business council. However, there might be concerns in Pakistan over India taking advantage of it. Opening up of rail and bus routes is one way of dispelling such fears; this also encourages trade between the two countries. Another good factor is that both the countries are committed to the South Asia Free Trade Agreement (SAFTA), which starts next year. A. Jacob Sahayam Thiruvananthapuram
