MS appoints eSys as distributor

NEW DELHI: Microsoft Corporation India on Tuesday announced the appointment of eSys, a Singapore-based IT component distribution company, as a nation-wide distributor for products targeted at the system builder market in India.

"Following the new partnership, eSys will distribute Microsoft's Windows XP Operating Systems (Windows XP Home and Pro), Microsoft Office 2003, Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and Microsoft Small Business Server 2003, to the system builder segment," a company release said here.

eSys would align with Microsoft India's geographical expansion initiatives. Commenting on the partnership, Mr Rajeev Mittal, Director - Small & Medium Solutions & Partners , Microsoft Corporation India said, "Our partnership with eSys represents a vital step towards strengthening our distribution presence for attaining nation-wide footprint. This partnership also underlines our commitment to create a responsible PC dealer community in India which engages in sale of genuine software."
