Polaris plans buy-back

Our Bureau

CHENNAI: Polaris Software Lab Ltd on Tuesday said that the directors on its board, in a meeting to be held on April 27, would consider a proposal for purchase of the company's own equity shares. In other words, it would consider a buyback of shares.

Asked if this added any value to the company or to its shareholders, a spokesperson declined to comment. On a day when most IT biggies saw their share prices dip, Polaris's share price recorded a gain of 1.53 per cent to close at Rs 109.25.
