Airlines BA to start flights from Chennai, Bangalore to London Our Bureau
New Delhi , April 20 BRITISH Airways is to start a five-times-a-week flight on the Bangalore-London sector and a six-times-a-week connection between Chennai and London from October this year. In a statement, the airline said that from March 2006 it would operate a daily flight from both the south Indian cities to London. Besides, the airline is to operate twice daily between Mumbai and London from October. The airline also plans to operate twice a day from Delhi to London from March next year. At present, the British airline operates daily flights from both Mumbai and Delhi to London. The airline plans to increase its flights, as the recently concluded air services agreement between the UK and India allows airlines of Britain to operate 42 flights every week from London Heathrow to Mumbai and Delhi from October. This will increase to 49 flights a week from March next year and to 56 flights a week from October 2006.
