ORACLE India Pvt Ltd has identified the mid-market segment as a major thrust area for its database offerings, according to Mr Arunava Dutta, Director of Technology Sales, Oracle India Pvt Ltd.

Addressing a press conference here, Mr Dutta said there were 46,000 companies in the mid-market segment whose average turnover was in the Rs 300-350 crore range. Each of these companies, on an average, engages 1,000 employees and spends three per cent of its turnover on their IT requirements.
