Dharma Ayurveda launches operations in Kochi

DHARMA Ayurveda, which operates exclusive ayurveda spas under the brand name of `Ayurmana' in Kuwait, Goa and Kumarakom is fast expanding its realm of operations.

Announcing the launch of the latest Dharma Ayurveda speciality clinic for arthritis and weight loss in Kochi today, Dr L.B. Jayaprakash said that "the World Health Organisation statistical survey states that as high as 17 per cent of the Indian population suffer from some form of arthritis. Modern medicine currently provides pain relief to the condition but is still to arrive at a permanent cure."

Dharma Ayurveda operates spas in association with the Hilton group of hotels in Kuwait, another at Radisson Hotel in Goa and a third at the Kumarakom Lake Resort in Kerala. Due to the success of its spa model of operations, the group is in the process of setting up stand-alone as well as hotel and resort-based ayurveda spas in Tanzania, Australia, UAE and Mauritius, Dr Jayaprakash said.
