Permit must for work on land in Kerala

Our Bureau

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Department of Local Administration has issued a warning against unauthorised development of land for purposes of construction and other works within city limits.

Announcing this, an official spokesman said here that those who proposed to divide large plots or paddy fields to offer smaller plots for sale should first obtain the stipulated permits from the local self-government institutions concerned.

Exemption from obtaining prior permits will be allowed only in cases of formal and legally tenable partition of family property that entails the division of a plot into smaller pieces of land.
