Four DuPont contest winners from South

New Delhi , April 21

DUPONT India on Wednesday announced six winners for its annual nation-wide science paper contest, DuPont India Challenge 2004, among school children in India.

Conducted across 700 schools, the company received 4,500 entries, where the best three adjudged entries in the junior and senior section received certificate, trophy and a cash prize.

Four of the winners were from the South, with one each from Delhi and Baroda. The winners in the Junior Category were Rajvee Vipin Patel from Baroda High School, Sonya Bhatia from Puttaparthi's Sri Satya Sai Higher Secondary School and Debdatta Basu from Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Chennai. The Senior Category prizes went to Avantika Lal of Delhi's Modern School, R. Thiagarajan Karthy of Chennai's Padma Seshadri and Aravind K. of Bangalore's Christ Junior College.
