NEW DELHI: The Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Mr Dayanidhi Maran, would inaugurate Electronics & Information Technology Exposition `ELITEX-2005', an annual interaction of various electronics and IT institutions, on April 25.

ELITEX-2005, the two-day exhibition-cum-seminar would have the theme `Grassroot Applications using Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)' and would provide special focus on grassroot technologies, applications and developments, an official release said here.

The event, organised by Department of IT, besides serving as a platform for sharing experience and interaction with experts, would provide an opportunity for the industry to pick a product/technology for commercial exploitation, and help research & development (R&D) institutes and academics to identify industry needs.
