Spices Board awards for export

COONOOR: The Spices Board has invited applications from exporters to claim the 17th set of trophies and awards for the excellence achieved in spices exports in 2003-04.

It said the duly filled in applications, along with the export and import statements certified by the bankers and the chartered accountants, should be sent in sealed covers to Mr S. Kannan, Director (Marketing) of the Board on or before April 30.

The form and the details could be downloaded from the Web site: www.indianspices.com.

The Board has also announced its proposal to sell vanilla planting materials at subsidised rates: Rs 4 per cutting for rooted cuttings and Rs 1.50 per plant for the secondary hardened tissue cultured plantlets. Growers cold approach the Board before May 15.
