New Chairman for CII-Southern Region

Hyderabad , April 23

MR ParasuRaman R., Managing Director of Novar India Ltd, has been elected Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry -Southern Region (CII-SR) for 2005-06.

The decision has been taken at the annual meeting of CII-SR held here. Mr ParasuRaman is the Chairman of Indian Green Building Council (CII Sohrabji Godrej Green Business Centre) and also the Vice-Chairman of World Green Building Council.

He was the Deputy Chairman of CII-SR during 2004-05 and was also the Chairman of CII (Tamil Nadu) during 2000-01. Mr Ravi Uppal, Vice-Chairman, Managing Director and Country Manager of ABB India, has been elected Deputy Chairman of CII-SR. Mr Uppal was the Chairman of CII (Karnataka) during 2000-01, a CII press release said.
