MAA Bozell gets new billings worth Rs 10 cr

Our Bureau

Bangalore , April 26

MAA Bozell, a part of the MAA Group, has acquired accounts with an aggregate billing of Rs 10 crore during the current fiscal. Among the new clients are Pizza Corner, Coffee World, Alcon and Apollo Hospital Enterprises.

While MAA Bozell was busy consolidating its existing accounts after it went through restructuring last year, this year it would be focusing on maximising productivity to retain the margins in the highly competitive advertising market.

The acquisition of Pizza Corner and its sister concern, Coffee World, is expected to help the agency in this bid, said Mr Bunty Peerbhoy, Chairman of MAA Group.

Coffee World is the first international coffee chain in the country. With Pizza Corner planning expansion abroad, the agency will be involved in strategy planning, creative as well as media buying activities for the company, said Mr Peerbhoy.

MAA Bozell would provide its support to Alcon, the US-based Nestle subsidiary which is planning to set up its pharma business in India.

The agency has also acquired the contract for the regional business for LIC in Hyderabad and Oriental Extractions, promoters of Manjal Soap in Kochi.

Mr Peerbhoy told Business Line that Dakshin, a separate division created two years ago, contributed about 15 per cent of the overall revenue of Rs 180 crore during 2005. Dakshin, which will target the huge potential of the fast growing markets of the four Southern States for advertising in the regional language media, is projected to trigger MAA Group's growth. MAA Group recorded revenue of Rs 170 crore during 2004.
