Thiruvananthapuram , April 26

SOFTEX Digital, a leading developer for wireless games and applications based in Technopark, has become a member of the prestigious `Forum Nokia PRO.'

Announcing this, Mr R.P. Lalaji, Chairman and Managing Director, said Softex Digital has joined advanced developer companies, which are engaged in the creation of next-generation software based on the Series 40, Series 60 and Series 90 Developer Platforms from Nokia, a pioneer in mobile communication systems.

As a member of Forum Nokia PRO, Softex Digital has the opportunity to further strengthen its relationship with Nokia, gain early access to Nokia technology and take advantage of specialised service and support provided by that company.

This would also enable Softex Digital to ensure close integration of its software with Nokia's devices and benefit from the latter's extensive worldwide software distribution channels.

It could also hope to clinch co-marketing activities with that company.

According to Mr Lalaji, Softex Digital targets the international market with high-end, user-friendly mobile applications and games on popular platforms such as Siemens and Nokia.

Among the company's recent product releases that run on Nokia devices are Mobile Money Minder and Mobile Zip.

Softex Digital has been among the pioneers in mobile games and mobile applications development arena, and one of the leading games and application developers in India, a country identified as an emerging market for mobile applications.

It has been an Advanced Development Partner of Siemens since 2003 and has come up with a wide range of trend-setting games for the exploding world of mobile games, Mr Lalaji said.
