Training for Karnataka farmers

MANGALORE: The Vijaya Bank-sponsored Vijaya Rural Development Foundation (VRDF), in association with Mangalore University and Pilikula Science Centre, conducted a training programme for farmers at Pilikula Nisarga Dhama in Mangalore on Monday.

A VRDF release said here on Tuesday that Dr Vidyachandra of V.C. Farm, Mandya district, spoke on paddy varieties. He also explained about the varieties suitable to Dakshina Kannada district. Mr Premanath Alva, VRDF Secretary, inaugurated the programme. Nearly 60 farmers from Dakshina Kannada district attended the training programme.
