THE Asian Development Bank, in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Technology's Consultancy Development Centre and Exim Bank of India, will hold seminars in Hyderabad and Chennai on `Development of domestic consultancy services'.

The seminars are to be held on May 2 and 3 in Hyderabad, and on May 5 and 6 in Chennai.

The objective of the seminars is to improve the quality of technical proposals submitted to the ADB as well as to improve the quality of project implementation, says Mr K. Muthukumaran, General Manager, Exim Bank.

In the seminar, ADB officials will make a presentation on the bank's guidelines on the use of consultants by it and its borrowers.

The seminar will also cover subjects such as how technical and financial proposals are evaluated, how contracts are negotiated and what some of the `common weaknesses found in technical proposals' are.

The key speaker in the seminars is Mr Gregory London, Principal Consulting Services Specialist, ADB, Manila.
