Jet Air proposes London service

Mumbai , April 26

JET Airways has plans to commence scheduled air services to London from May 23.

The company has also executed MoUs/LoI for taking on lease three aircrafts from South African Airways — one Airbus, one A 340-300E and another aircraft — that are expected to be delivered by May 1, May 15 and June 1, respectively.

It has also executed an MoU/LoI with GE Commercial Aviation for taking on lease two aircrafts — a Boeing B 737 and another aircraft for domestic operations — that are expected to be delivered in August 2005 and May 2007, respectively.

Jet Airways informed the BSE that the company has appointed Capt. Gustav Baldauf as Vice-President (Flight Operations) with immediate effect. He will head the department and will be responsible for all flight operation issues.
