Retailing Siemens Home Appliances plans more showrooms Our Bureau
Hyderabad , April 27 RBS (Siemens) Home Appliances has firmed up plans to set up 20-30 exclusive showrooms in major cities by December 2006. Its first showroom is running in Salem in Tamil Nadu and the second was inaugurated in Hyderabadon Wednesday. Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Coimbatore and Ahmedabad are lined up in the coming months, according to Mr Vipul Raval, Managing Director of the company. The Rs 35-crore company is focussing on selling a complete range of kitchen appliances ranging from Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 4 lakh.
In Mumbai, it has provided the kitchen range to 150 service apartments in Grand Hyatt. Similarly, it is negotiating with leading IT companies and hotels, he said. Expecting a 10 per cent growth in its sales during fiscal 2004-05, RBS plans to bring in a range of affordable and quality products to Indian market in the next few years. This follows a market survey feedback, Mr Raval told newspersons. In Andhra Pradesh, he said the company plans to expand to Visakhapatnam with an exclusive showroom.
