GBC power summit in Hyderabad

THE CII-Sohrabji Green Business Centre (CII-GBC) would organise here a two-day Power Plant Summit-2005 on July 27 and 28.

The theme of the summit is `Make Indian power plants world class', a GBC press release said here on Wednesday.

The summit would focus on issues such as `The reform — Pros and cons of Electricity Act 2003', emerging trends and technologies in power plants, reliability and availability improvement techniques, performance improvement and world-class operation and maintenance practices.

The meet would also discuss environmental concerns and the preparedness of the power sector to meet the ever-increasing demand. This conference is designed for top and middle level managers; operation and maintenance engineers; energy managers; environment engineers and equipment manufacturers, the press release said.
