NEW DELHI: IBM has introduced the eServer X3 architecture, the culmination of three years, $100 million development effort, to bring mainframe-inspired capabilities and high-end technology to businesses seeking to bring mission-critical workloads to Intel-servers.

"The new X3 architecture provides up to 38 per cent higher four-way performance (as per TPC-C), than the previous generation of Intel Xeon processor-based systems at a flatter cost curve," an IBM release said here.
