Godrej Consumer PAT rises 32% to Rs 25.3 cr

Mumbai , April 28

GODREJ Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) has reported a 32 per cent increase in profit after tax at Rs 25.3 crore for the fourth quarter of 2004-2005, against Rs 19.2 crore in the earlier year.

Sales grew by 14 per cent to Rs 138.5 crore during the quarter. Sales of Godrej Brands moved up by 16 per cent to Rs 133.6 crore.

The board has recommended an interim dividend of 125 per cent taking the total dividend to 300 per cent.

For the full year, GCPL reported a 33 per cent increase in profit after tax at Rs 86 crore (Rs 64.84 crore). Sales moved up by 15 per cent to Rs 562.7 crore. Godrej Brands sales were up 14 per cent and hair colour sales up by 16 per cent.
