Relocation support scheme for US visitors

Our Bureau

Bangalore , April 28

STUDENTS and professionals visiting the US for longer duration of stay can bid adieu to the worries about procedural, financial and personal issues of obtaining social security number, opening bank account and fixing utilities services after reaching their destinations.

Thanks to the launch of a `Relocation Support Membership' scheme by TT Services, a division of the TT Enterprises, and the US-based AIG International Services, such issues could be organised by the visitors much before leaving the Indian shores.

Mr P. Varadan, Managing Director of TT Enterprises, told Business Line that the relocation support membership scheme has been designed to address specific issues of employees relocating to the US, students going for higher studies and short stay visitors up to six months. The membership cost will be $230 for students and $250 for others.

The membership fee covers insurance premium with benefits of a $50,000 medical evacuation services, $25,000 accidental death and dismemberment coverage and $10,000 repatriation coverage. The membership also provides assistance for relocation support services of day-to-day requirements.
