Healthcare Products P&G Hygiene Q3 net down at Rs 14.6 cr Our Bureau
Mumbai , April 30 PROCTER & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care Ltd has reported a lower profit after tax of Rs 14.66 crore for its third quarter ended March 2005 from Rs 18.12 crore in the year-ago period. The company said a royalty payment of Rs 6.67 crore pulled profits down. Sales grew 26 per cent to Rs 172.43 crore. Health care and feminine hygiene businesses at Rs 88.28 crore also grew 10 per cent. Sales in non-core categories are also up 48 per cent, mainly driven by the inter-company detergent business. Whisper feminine hygiene business sales grew 13 per cent to Rs 46.5 crore (Rs 41.3 crore in the corresponding period). This is due to strong growth of the Whisper Ultra and Whisper Maxi variants.
