Kerala seeks more direct flights

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Minister for Tourism, Mr K.C. Venugopal, has requested the Union Civil Aviation Minister, Mr Praful Patel, that more direct flights be introduced to Kerala from overseas destinations.

An official spokesman quoted Mr Venugopal as saying in a communication to Mr Patel that direct flights must be started forthwith from centres such as Britain, France, Germany, the US and Spain which happen to be Kerala's best known markets.
