MOHAN Clothing Co Pvt Ltd, better known for its Blackberrys brand of trousers, suits and jackets, plans to increase the number of exclusive stores to 50 by March 2006.

Currently, the company has 11 exclusive stores in eight cities, said Mr B. Chaudhary, General Manager (Sales & Marketing), Mohan Clothing Co.

Addressing a news conference here on Monday, Mr Chaudhary said each of these exclusive stores would entail an investment of Rs 15-20 lakh. Simultaneously, the company is doubling the production capacity.

It currently manufactures 1,500 trousers and 200 suits and jackets per day. Besides exclusive stores, Blackberrys' products are retailed through 600 outlets across the country.

Blackberrys is set to launch shirts, trousers and tops for women. "From a premium men's fashion brand, we want to become a complete family fashion brand," he said. To promote the brand, the company has earmarked an advertisement and promotional budget of Rs 4 crore in the current fiscal.

According to Mr Chaudhary, the company is keen to focus on exports in the months ahead. At present, Mohan Clothing Co exports its offerings for retail sales in Dubai. Mr Chaudhary said that the company is targeting a turnover of Rs 105 crore in 2005-06, up from Rs 80 crore achieved in 2004-05.
