Symbol opens Bangalore centre

Bangalore , May 3

SYMBOL Technologies Inc, the enterprise mobility company, has opened a software development centre here as part of its expansion in India.

The centre will focus on developing Symbol's next generation wireless and mobility systems management products and augment its three other global technology development centres.

"It is important for Symbol to have facilities based at strategic locations throughout the world to best serve the needs of our customers and business partners," said Mr Todd Hewlin, Symbol's Senior Vice-President of Global Products Group.
