Citizen Call Centre inauguration in Kerala

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Chief Minister, Mr Oommen Chandy, will inaugurate the Citizen Call Centre being set up to handle queries from the public relating to various Government departments and their functions.

The call centre, set up at the Saphalyam Complex here, will initially disseminate information pertaining to the Departments of Revenue, Food and Civil Supplies, Vehicle Tax, Water Resources and Electricity, and various universities, which are already networked online to the front-end FRIENDS service delivery counters.

Guidance service on electricity connections, ration cards, community certificates and income certificates will be provided initially from the call centre. It will be open from 9 a.m. through 7 p.m. The centre can be accessed on telephone number 155300 for local call charges from anywhere in the State.
