PUM, a Netherlands-based organisation of experienced retired professionals, has offered free consultancy assistance to small and medium organisations in the country.

At a meeting organised here by the Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Mr Gerald Molink, Country Coordinator (India), PUM, said that in the context of the thrust towards globalisation and the prevailing highly competitive business environment, Indian industries stand to gain substantially from well-focused and result-oriented technical, managerial and organisational inputs, made available to them at their door steps.

The impact of higher productivity, improved quality and manufacturing economies cannot be underestimated. PUM could provide these inputs, to progressive and forward-looking ventures, he said.

The advisory services available with the organisation are ideally suited to the current needs of Indian industry, especially for the small and medium enterprises.

The local representative of the organisation is Trade Track, Ravipuram, Kochi-16. PUM had completed over 400 missions in India, including 40 in Kerala, in the past nine years of operations, Mr Molink said. The meeting was presided over by Mr Balagopala B. Pai, Vice-President of the Chamber.
