A worker drying coconut for making copra at Kodungallur near Kochi. Copra had been in short supply at the beginning of the year but currently, the situation has improved. As a result, copra prices have declined to Rs 3,875 a quintal from Rs 4,900 at the start of the year. Coconut oil too has witnessed similar trend with the prices dipping to Rs 5,550 a quintal from Rs 7,300.
