THE National Academy of Construction (NAC) and NAC Infrastructure Equipment Ltd (NACEIL) will jointly organise a national seminar on `Equipment Sourcing Solutions for the Construction Industry' on May 7.

The seminar would focus on key issues like mechanisation, a means for quicker completion of projects to reduce cost and time, improve quality, etc., according to Mr C.T. Chari, Director-General, NAC.

Leading equipment manufacturers such as Ingersoll Rand, Volvo, Daewoo, Stetter Schwing, Greaves, ACE , Lintech, and Puzzolona are sponsoring the event, he told newspersons. The seminar would also address the issue of popularising the concept of equipment rental, new methodologies to reduce the time for completing infrastructure projects, as well as optimum utilisation of mechanisation.

While NAC has a large facility in Hitec City and organises seminars, runs courses, and promotes the construction sector, NACEIL is an equipment rental and solutions company floated by Indian Infrastructure Equipment Ltd, NAC, L&T Finance, and Nagarjuna Construction.
