Health meet in Kottayam

KOTTAYAM: The Seventh State Conference of the Academy of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicines will be held at Windsor Castle, Kottayam, on May 7&8 under the joint auspices of the Department of Chest Diseases, Medical College and Kottayam Chest Club. Expert doctors from Kerala and other States would present papers on different topics.

The topics would include new treatment methods for asthma, allergy, TB, sleep related disorders etc., modern technology to diagonise these diseases and the new advancement in treating chest diseases, said Dr P. Sukumaran, Chairman, Organising Committee, and Prof. and Head of the Department of TB and Chest Diseases, Medical College Kottayam.

Mr K.M. Mathew, Chief Editor, Malayala Manorama, will inaugurate the conference. Dr Sajiv S. Nair is the Secretary of the Organising Committee. A variety of topics ranging from pulmonary function to information technology in pulmonary medicine will come up for discussion during the two-day session, Dr Sukumaran said.
