MUMBAI: Idea Cellular Ltd has reduced Idea-to-Idea local tariffs to 75 paise a minute for its pre-paid customers, an over 60 per cent drop from the existing rate.

Other calls, whether made to mobile or fixed lines, will cost Rs. 1.75 per minute, said a news release from the company.

"With this kind of pricing, we are rewarding all our existing customers and also creating an attractive proposition for the prospective ones to choose an IDEA network," said Mr Vikram Mehmi, CEO, IDEA Cellular. IDEA Cellular has licenses to operate in 11 circles in the country.
