CSE transfers membership cards

Our Bureau

Kolkata , May 6

A CLUTCH of Calcutta Stock Exchange (CSE) memberships is set to be transferred.

The exchange on Friday listed the names of members whose cards will now be held by others, in some cases based on the strength of nominations granted in favour of the latter. The CSE has also invited members to lodge claims, if any, against the firms concerned.

Prominent on the list is the ticket standing in the name of the late Sambhu Lal Bardhan, a former President of the exchange.

The other membership cards stood in the names of Gouri Prasad Bagaria, P L Sultania, Subh Karan Marda, B K Bhuwalka, Loknath Saraf and Pawan Kumar Chirimar.

The new members are Indu Rani Bagaria (Card No 315), Praveen Sultania (18), Anil Kumar Marda (221), Premlata Bhuwalka (652), S K Saraf (766) and Saroj Chirimar (969).

Mr T.K. Bardhan, incidentally, will hold Card No 151. In the case of S.K. Marda, the transfer will be based on the strength of probate of will granted in favour of Mr A.K. Marda.

A similar transfer will happen in the case of B K Bhuwalka and Loknath Saraf.

New listings: The exchange has announced a couple of new listings - SB Overseas and Sun Biotechnology.

In both cases, trading permission has been granted already. The scrips in question have a face value of Rs 10 per share.
