South Indian Bank joins NFS network

Kochi , May 8

SOUTH Indian Bank has joined the National Financial Switch (NFS), which serves over 9,000 ATMs in the country.

The NFS network, which is owned and maintained by the Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology, is the technical arm of the RBI, and aims at linking all ATMs in the country for providing efficient and cheaper ATM operations.

Mr A. Sethumadhavan, Chairman of the bank, formally launched the SIB-NFS ATM network system.

SIB is the first Kerala-based bank to join the network.
