Froth on the beach

Rare angular waves were witnessed at the Valiathura beach in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday. Oblique angular waves are normally known to create raging white water on their crests. Local residents said these waves ate into the shoreline deeper than usual, leading to mild erosion in stretches.
